Benigno Galaviz who were his parents ? he lived in jalpa area in the 1900s not sure when he was born. He married Teresa Lopez had a daughter in June 13 ,1934 named Antonia Galaviz she died in October 10,1999 in jalpa zac. its really important to find Benigno to solve the mystery Why Benigno Galaviz claimed to be Aniceto Duran Lozano half brother(my grandfather)with different surnames. In 1896 Jose Guadalupe Duran marries Maria Galaviz and has a daughter in 1897 Maria Guadalupe Duran. Then by 1910 Jose Guadalupe Duran is married to Gregoria Lozano and have a son Trinidad Duran born in jalpa area then three more kids with her one is my grandfather Aniceto Duran born in april 1915 my question is where does Benigno come in hope to find some truth in all this thanks to anyone who take time to read this and maybe help me find an answer.

I had an ancestor with a similar situation. When the father remarries, the children from the first marriage may stress their mother's surname to distinguish them selves from the children born from the second marriage. Benigno is most likely the son of Jose Guadalupe Duran and Maria Gálvez if he is a half sibling. Benigno was most likely baptized with his father surname and made the change after his father remarries and has children with his second wife.
Finding the birth or baptismal record of Antonia Galvez dated June 13 ,1934 Could help identify her grandparents.
